Refurbished during Summer 2013, our very own college bar – accessed via North Court – now bears slightly less resemblance to something between an airport departure lounge and Limbo. Frequented by JCR, MCR and SCR members alike, “the bar” is the go-to place after any big college event, and also doubles as the venue for the JCR’s bops. Wendy (the barkeeper) is open to suggestions with regard to the drinks list, and a good person to keep on side if you plan on coming here frequently.

The bar includes several draught beers and ciders and occasional guest ales. There are also bottled beers, ciders, a selection of wines and a full cocktail bar. Juices and sodas are also available. No hot food is served in the evening, but there are plenty of snacks available. Cigarettes, matches and lighters are also on sale, but bear in mind that the College-wide smoking ban includes the bar.

During Full Term the bar is open from 6 pm. Please check the closing times here. If you wish to have the bar open till later for a specific event, please contact the bar manager. In the daytime the bar is transformed into a café and coffee shop.
